The issue is that when the PC is turned on you can see the usual boot screens of rotating dots, but when it’s booted one screen is on but showing as black and the other is off, on dual screen systems. The PC can be rebooted several times and possibly on one occasion it actually gives you a login.
This can be due to the fact that the processor of the PC can’t handle the ‘Fast Startup’ option of Windows 10. So we need to turn off Fast Startup.
Fast startup is a feature in Windows that helps your computer start faster. You can use the following steps to enable or disable fast startup.
- Type Control Panel in the search box.
- Click Control Panel.
- Click Power Options.
- Click Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Scroll down to Shutdown settings and uncheck Turn on fast startup.
- Click Save changes.
