Plug phone into network cable that is on the outside of the firewall as the initial configuration requires the phone to connect to the SBN Mitel switch

Let the phone reboot and get to the point where it says PIN Use Superkey to SEND
Enter ***extension number (ie ***1295)
Then press the Superkey (the blue key on a 5312 phone). It will then boot to a normal display like in the office with the extension number (in the above case x1295) and the allocated phone name.
Now that it works you need to change the phone IP address to DHCP.
Unplug the phone from the outside network cable – then
- Hold down < & > keys together and plug in
- “View Network Parameters”

- Use scroll > press 1 time

- Keep the ICP IP Address value at: 201#38#254#214 Press >
- Keep the TFTP Server IP Address value at: 201#38#254#214 Press >
- Keep the TFTP Server Port value at: 69 Press >

- STORE CHANGES Yes * (saving to Nvram)
- REBOOT NOW Yes * (Resetting Phone)
You can now plug into Local Area Network cable
