Overview
To integrate a Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync account on a BlackBerry 10 smartphone, complete the following steps:
- On the home screen, swipe down from the top bezel and selectSettings.
- SelectAccounts > Add Account > Email, Calendar and Contacts
- Enter the email address in theEmail Address field and click Next.
- Enter the account password on next screen and clickNext.
The BlackBerry smartphone autodiscover client will attempt to use the autodiscover service of the Microsoft Exchange Server to get all of the the requisite server and synchronization settings.
If the autodiscover service is not accessible (Exchange 2003 does not have autodiscover) or autodiscover response is not understood by smartphone, use the advanced setup as described to complete the setup:
- On the home screen, swipe down from the top bezel and selectSettings.
- SelectAccounts > Add Account > Advanced > Microsoft Exchange Active Sync
- Enter the username used to log into Outlook Web Access in theUsername
- Enter the email address in theEmail Address
- Enter the password used to log into Outlook Web Access in thePassword
- Enter the URL used to log into Outlook Web Access in theServer Address
- Enter the appropriate port number in thePort
Note:
- DefaultOWA server addresses are in the format of https://webmail.example.com/owa orhttps://server.example.com/exchange.
- For theServer Address field use the format of example.com excluding thehttp(s):// and /owa or /exchange.
- The default ports for OWA are80 and 443.
If these settings do not work, contact the email administrator for the correct account information.
