Dial a Favourite Contact

The steps to turn on the TV and VC. Also dialing up a favourite contact.

Turning on the TV and Displaying the Polycom AVC Home Page

1. Turn on the TV with its remote control.
2. Turn on the Polycom VC unit by using the ‘Power’ button on the remote control.
3. Press the AV button on the TV remote to choose external devices.
4. Once the external connections are listed press the down arrow on the TV remote to highlight ‘Component’ and press ‘OK’ on the remote. This will take you to the Polycom input.

 

 

Dialling a Contact

1. If the ‘Home’ screen isn’t already on the TV press the ‘Home’ button on the Polycom remote control.
2. There will now be three options. Press the down arrow on the Polycom remote and choose ‘Directory’ by pressing the centre ‘.’ button.
3. From the ‘Directory’ menu choose the ‘Favourites’ option using the same method on the remote control.
4. There are several contacts listed. Use the up and down arrows on the remote to find the desired favourite and press the centre ‘.’ button.
5. The system will then proceed to dial the contact.

 

 

Adding a Favourite Contact

1. If the ‘Home’ screen isn’t already on the TV press the ‘Home’ button on the Polycom remote control.
2. Press the down arrow on the Polycom remote and choose ‘Directory’ by pressing the centre ‘.’ button.
3. Highlight Favourites and press centre button
4. Left and down arrow to select “Create a Contact”. Use default Call type H232 for IP phone; enter a name; enter an IP address
5. Down and left to Save.

 

Quick Add a Contact

1. If the ‘Home’ screen isn’t already on the TV press the ‘Home’ button on the Polycom remote control.
2. Press the down arrow on the Polycom remote select ‘Place a call” by pressing the centre ‘.’ button.
3. Enter the IP address of the call
4. At the end of the call you will get the option to save the contact.

 

Disconnecting a VC call

This section explains how to close a VC call.

1. Press the red ‘downphone’ button on the remote control
2. Turn off the Polycom but pressing the ‘Power’ button on the Polycom remote control.
3. Turn off the TV by pressing the power button on the set.

Rotating the Camera

This section explains how to move the local camera around.

1. To move the camera press the ‘Camera’ button on the top line of the Polycom remote control.
2. Then three options will appear on the screen. Highlight ‘Main’ and press the centre ‘.’ Button.
3. Once here your camera will become the primary view on the TV. At this point you can use the arrow buttons to find the desired angle for the camera.
4. When you have the camera situated as required press the ‘Back’ button twice on the remote and your partner will once again become the primary view on the TV.
