Blackberry Tips for Engineers
- Don’t expect any emails if you don’t see four Blackberry dots (like logo) near the signal strength bar. This is a sign that BES is enabled at the provider without which emails cannot transmit to and from the device.
- To check whether emails are being successfully transmitted and received check the logs on the BB server (C:\ programs files (x86)\Research in Motion\logs and the date. The file to check is called SERVERNAME_DISP_01_date. Search for the user’s name (first or last)
