FTP Site

To be used for sending large amount of documents to a trusted person / company.

You upload files and then the recipient goes in and retrieves them.

You must delete the files once the recipient has accessed them as this is a web based site so not a secure place to leave documents like Passport copies etc. (Other people going to the site will see them)

FTP instructions:

Go to search box beside the Start button (i.e. the ‘Ask Me Anything’ box to the right of the Windows flag at the bottom left hand side of screen), and type the word ‘Computer’ without the apostrophes.  A window will open and click anywhere to the right of the arrow by the words ‘This PC’ in the address bar. The words ‘This PC’ will become highlighted.

Overwrite ‘This PC’ with ftp://ftp

You will then be presented with a Log On As box. Enter your details as below and click the Log On button

Username: Projectsftp

Password: xxxxxxxx

In the window that opens you will be able to create an appropriately named folder for your client, open it and drag and drop the file(s) from your computer to that folder.

You will then be presented with a Log On As box. Enter your details as below and click the Log On button

Username: Projectsftp

Password: xxxxxxxxxx

Open the appropriate folder and drag the files from the folder to a folder on your computer.
