How To Setup An IP Phone On Mitel 5000 System
- Logon to GBIT01
- Open up the Mitel System Administration
- System Connection. Choose Farnham and click the icon.
- Once Mitel DB Programming has launched.
- Favourites
- Local user
- Go to the bottom of the list.
- Right click on the pane and choose “Create 86xx”
- In the dialog box that opens up enter the next IP phone number. They start with 133X
- Number of extensions is 1.
- Right click the MAC address it has there and enter the address on the bottom of the phone.
- Press OK.
- Change the Description and Username to the user you need.
- In IP Settings of the created extension and username, click on IP Settings and change NAT Address Type to NAT
- Plug the phone into the network. It will initially look for the DHCP server and then come up with the right credentials.
