Before adding an override to a Webroot policy you may need to check whether it is necessary by disabling Webroot on a local machine.
Note that all Webroot clients are managed by the Central Server. There is no way to turn off the Webroot firewall on the local machine.
To disable the Webroot client you need to set it as Unmanaged in the portal
To set the Webroot agent to an unmanaged policy first follow the steps below.
1. Log into your portal: my.webrootanywhere.com/default.asp
2. Access the console/site that the machine is in.
3. Go to the Group Management tab and locate the machine that you want to access. Select it by clicking the check box.
4. Locate the “Apply Policy to Endpoint” above the list and click.
5. In the separate box hit the drop down arrow and select Unmanaged from the list of policies and submit.
You will now need to go to your machine locally and refresh config by right clicking the system tray icon. When it updates you should now be able to open and work with the Webroot agent on the machine and switch off the Firewall.
