In these new areas of installation, the environment in which the network cable is run has a large amount of EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference). Although Cat 6 cables have improved cable twist to handle gigabit Ethernet and reject noise, this by itself is not enough for environments that have high EMI. Using a shielded Cat 6 cable will help in these high EMI installations. Examples of shielded cable:

Tools required to terminate Cat 6 Shielded cable:

Crimp tool/:

http://in.rsdelivers.com/product/bel-stewart/2980075-01/cat-6-shielded-tool-die/0413415.aspx

Termination Tool used to terminate cable to face plates/boxes:

http://in.rsdelivers.com/product/rs/idc-tool/professional-idc-termination-tool/0470128.aspx

Socket:

http://in.rsdelivers.com/product/hellermanntyton/852-05589/rj45-idc-shielded-cat-6/7190781.aspx

http://in.rsdelivers.com/product/hellermanntyton/852-05590/global-quad-sgl-gang-unshuttered-cat-6/7190787.aspx

Cable Ends – Connectors Cat 6 Shielded require different type of connection to terminate cable:

http://in.rsdelivers.com/product/siemens/6gk1901-1bb11-2aa0/ie-fc-rj45-plug-180-4×2/7589197.aspx

http://in.rsdelivers.com/product/hirose/tm21p-88p21/8-way-cat6-shielded-rj-plug-15a-125vdc/4361387.aspx

The different categories of CAT cable: Type Speed Detailed Information Cat. 5 10/100/1000MbE* Category 5 cables are currently outdated standard that provides support for up to 100Mhz operation.
