There are a number of processes to remove an extension from the Mitel system:<\/div>\n
\n
    \n
  1. Remove from paging groups<\/li>\n
  2. Remove from pickup groups<\/li>\n
  3. Remove from ring groups<\/li>\n
  4. Remove the DDI number<\/li>\n
  5. Remove line key assignments<\/li>\n
  6. Remove the user configuration<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
    Remove from Paging Groups:<\/strong><\/div>\n
      \n
    1. Go to Page Group Assignment form<\/li>\n
    2. Select the necessary page group in the top pane<\/li>\n
    3. Select “Go To:” “Number”<\/li>\n
    4. Type the extension number into the “Value:” box<\/li>\n
    5. Click “Go”<\/li>\n
    6. Click “Delete Member” and confirm the next two prompts<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      Remove from Pickup Groups:<\/strong><\/div>\n
        \n
      1. Go to\u00a0Pickup Group Assignment form<\/li>\n
      2. Select the necessary pickup group in the top pane<\/li>\n
      3. Find and highlight the number in the group (bottom pane)<\/li>\n
      4. Click “Delete Member” and confirm when prompted<\/li>\n
      5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each\u00a0pickup group that the extension belongs to<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        Remove from\u00a0Ring Groups:<\/strong><\/div>\n
          \n
        1. Go to\u00a0Ring Group Assignment form<\/li>\n
        2. Select the necessary pickup group in the top pane<\/li>\n
        3. Find and highlight the number in the group (bottom pane)<\/li>\n
        4. Click “Delete Member” and confirm when prompted<\/li>\n
        5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each ring group that the extension belongs to<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          Remove the Speed Call (DDI) Number:<\/strong><\/div>\n
            \n
          1. Go to the System Speed Call Assignment<\/li>\n
          2. Select “Go To:” “Actual Number”<\/li>\n
          3. Type the extension number into the “Value:” box<\/li>\n
          4. Click “Go”<\/li>\n
          5. Click “Delete” and confirm when prompted<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Remove Line Key Assignments:<\/strong><\/p>\n

            Method 1:<\/p>\n

              \n
            1. Go to the Multiline Set Key Assignment form<\/li>\n
            2. Select extension “1001” (or any other extension\u00a0that has no line keys assigned) from the\u00a0middle pane (labelled “Multiline Set Key Assignment”)<\/li>\n
            3. Click “Copy Keys”<\/li>\n
            4. Enter the target extension (the one you’re deleting) into the box labelled “Copy selected keys to directory number(s):”<\/li>\n
            5. Put a tick into the check box in the title row – this will copy every key<\/li>\n
            6. Click “Copy”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Method 2:<\/p>\n

                \n
              1. Go to the Multiline Set Key Assignment form<\/li>\n
              2. Select “Find a Field Named:” “Directory Number”<\/li>\n
              3. Type the extension number into the “That has a value:” box<\/li>\n
              4. \u00a0Click “Search”<\/li>\n
              5. In the lower pane, click “Change All Members”<\/li>\n
              6. For each button, delete the contents of any typed fields, set the “Line Type” to “Not Assigned” and blank the\u00a0“Ring Type” field<\/li>\n
              7. Click “Save”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                Remove the User Configuration:<\/strong><\/div>\n
                  \n
                1. Go to User Configuration form<\/li>\n
                2. Select “Find a field named:” “Number”<\/li>\n
                3. Type the extension number into the “That has a value:” box<\/li>\n
                4. Click “Search”<\/li>\n
                5. Click “Delete” and confirm when prompted<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
