To reset the password on your Windows 2012 server<\/strong> complete the following steps:-<\/p>\n

Boot from the Microsoft Windows Server 2012 DVD
\nFrom the Windows Setup menu, click Next
\nSelect Repair your Computer
\nUnder Choose and Option click “Command Prompt”
\nAt the\u00a0 command prompt type<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0ren d: \\windows\\system32\\utilman.exe utilman.old<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Enter<\/p>\n

Then type<\/p>\n\n\n\n
copy \\windows\\system32\\cmd.exe d:\\windows\\system32\\utilman.exe<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Enter<\/p>\n

Close the command prompt and click Continue
\nThe server should now reboot and present the logon screen.
\nHere press the Windows key and u
\nA command prompt windows comes up
\nType net user administrator Password123 (or whatever complex password you choose)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
net user administrator Password123<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

This will set the password to Password123 (case sensitive)<\/p>\n

Now having set your new password, once logged in delete the utilman.exe<\/em> file or others can change the password at any time using the Windows key + u !<\/strong><\/p>\n
