{"id":1399,"date":"2018-03-09T18:51:52","date_gmt":"2018-03-09T18:51:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/?p=1399"},"modified":"2018-03-09T18:51:52","modified_gmt":"2018-03-09T18:51:52","slug":"outlook-to-create-a-signature-without-the-logo-showing-as-an-attachment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/gardiner.tech\/bluebook\/blog\/2018\/03\/09\/outlook-to-create-a-signature-without-the-logo-showing-as-an-attachment\/","title":{"rendered":"Outlook &#8211; To create a signature without the logo showing as an attachment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Problem<br \/>\n<\/strong>When adding a logo to a signature, the recipient sees your email as though it has an attachment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solution<br \/>\n<\/strong>The logo needs to be added in a GIF form so that the signature is shown without being an attachment<\/p>\n<p><strong>Part 1: Convert Image to Gif<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Note the image must be a GIF file for this to work correctly.<\/li>\n<li>You can convert a jpeg or png file to gif file by using \u2018Paint\u2019 application which can be found in All programs \u2013 accessories \u2013 Paint.<\/li>\n<li>Open the file and then go to the icon on the menu bar that looks like a list and select \u2018Save as\u2019\n<ol>\n<li>From the drop down list select \u2018Gif\u2019 and save it in pictures for use later.<\/li>\n<li>Close \u2018Paint\u2019 Application.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Part 2: Create a signature for email<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To create a signature in Outlook open up a new message. Here you will find a drop down for signature. Select \u2018signatures\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Select \u2018New\u2019 and type a name that has meaning for the signature you are creating. It is here that you can create more than one type of signature for different people.<\/li>\n<li>In Edit signature type in the text details required.<\/li>\n<li>Then select the GIF icon from the menu bar<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1400\" src=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/Signature-icon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"703\" height=\"51\" \/>to select\u00a0the Gif you created earlier in \u2018Paint\u2019.
