\t\t\t\tSome of P2V servers from the old domain relied on WSUS. This stops you from being ably to manually search and install Windows Updates<\/p>\n

Error message \u00a0Windows Update failed : \u00a0Error 80244018<\/strong><\/p>\n

On a server (or a workstation) the way to uninstall<\/p>\n

On a DC<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. In the WSUS GPO assigned to this server, DISABLE the policy “Specify intranet Microsoft update service location”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      And \/Or<\/p>\n

      If the policy has already been removed, or the machine is in a container with no policy applied for WSUS:
      \nReset the registry value UseWUServer = dword:0x0 (DISABLED), or
      \nDelete the entire registry key HKLM\\Software\\Policies\\Microsoft\\Windows\\WindowsUpdate
      \nwhich will revert the WUAgent to the original installed behavior of Automatic Updates
      \nand then set the desired behavior usingthe Control Panel | Windows Update dialog.<\/p>\n

      Reboot the computer before you can do an update.<\/p>\n

      Also Note<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Windows Update Error code 80244018018 <\/strong>means your system cannot connect to the Microsoft windows update server.<\/p>\n

      1. Go to start menu, input \u201cservices.msc\u201d in the search blank without quotation and press Enter.<\/p>\n

      2. Locate \u201cBackground Intelligent Transfer Service\u201d, right click and set the status as \u201cstarted\u201d.<\/p>\n

      3. Located \u201cWindows Update\u201d and set its status as \u201cstarted\u201d.<\/p>\n

      4. Located \u201cWindows Firewall\u201d and \u201cstop\u201d it.<\/p>\n

      5. Try again Windows Update online, the problem should be resolved.<\/p>\n

      The above services should be running for Windows Updates to work properly. Best to set them all to Automatic (Delayed Start)<\/p>\n
