TCP\/IP is a protocol used in most of the computers (including Mac, Linux and Windows) and other network devices to make communication in LAN or WAN.<\/p>\n<p>Use NetShell utility (<em><strong>netsh.exe<\/strong><\/em>) command to perform the task.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong> Open the command prompt as Administrator. Search \u2018cmd\u2019 and right click on cmd then select \u2018<strong>Run as administrator<\/strong>\u2019 as below.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/New-Picture.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1108\" src=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/New-Picture.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"474\" height=\"210\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong> Type following commands \u2013<\/p>\n<p><strong>netsh winsock reset catalog<\/strong> (Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults)<br \/>\n<strong>netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log<\/strong> (Reset IPv4 TCP\/IP stack to installation defaults)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Capture.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1109\" src=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Capture.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"678\" height=\"349\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>3)<\/strong> Reboot the computer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Problem:<\/strong><br \/>\nOne of the above reset command removes all persistent static route entries from your Windows 10 computer.<\/p>\n<p>In the main this will repair the system, though we may find ourselves in the situation where we have to add those static routes again by \u2018route add\u2019 command.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4)<\/strong> If you are still facing the issue and your Windows 10 or 8.1 can\u2019t connect to internet and other local network resources, continue below steps.<\/p>\n<p>The following few more netsh commands may fix the problem. Make sure you are entering below commands in command prompt which was opened as Administrator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These command are good commands to use to make your Windows 10 network faster.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5)<\/strong> If your wired network is fine, but you are having trouble in wireless network only, then you can change the power options and wake up the WiFi Adapter.<\/p>\n<p>Right click on the WiFi adapter and select Properties.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/New-Picture-1.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1111\" src=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/New-Picture-1.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"346\" height=\"321\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click on \u2018<em>Configure<\/em>\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/New-Picture-2.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1112\" src=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/New-Picture-2.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"424\" height=\"518\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the \u2018<em>Power Management<\/em>\u2019 tab, uncheck the &#8216;Allow The Computer To Turn Off This Device To Save Power&#8217; option.<\/p>\n<p>This will prevent Windows 10 turning off the WiFi adapter when it goes to sleep or hibernation mode. Because when the laptop resumes from sleep, the WiFi adapter may not wake up and work properly. So, avoiding this feature may help in having proper wireless network connectivity in Windows 10.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/New-Picture-3.bmp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1113\" src=\"http:\/\/help.sealionshipping.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/New-Picture-3.bmp\" alt=\"\" width=\"439\" height=\"492\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>6)<\/strong>\u00a03rd party antivirus and personal firewall software such as BitDefender also can disturb the network connectivity in Windows 10\/8.1. So, if none of the above solutions work for you and you have an dedicated Antivirus software with firewall enabled, you can uninstall it or find a way to allow internet connectivity and IP requests in the firewall settings.
